It’s the most wonderful time of the year because the 2024 edition of Restrap’s Winter Solstice Century is just around the corner! This year, in addition to the badge of completion, they’re giving riders a massive grand prize with gear from GOREWEAR, Exposure, and STYRKR. Read on for more info on the year-end event…

Restrap’s biannual tradition of heading out on inspiring rides on the longest and shortest days of the year continues with their 2024 edition of the Winter Solstice Cenutry! Restrap’s Winter Solstice Century challenges participants to make the most of the short winter days by getting out for a 100-mile ride.

Restrap's Winter Solstice Century

From Restrap: “Even the hardiest of us sometimes need a little extra encouragement to brave the winter elements… Our challenge is a simple one: ride a single 100 mile ride from December 13-22nd.” Unlike years past, they’re extending the time during which people can ride their century to a larger window. Any time between December 13th-22nd, riders can complete a single, 100-mile push to be eligible for a completion badge and a treasure trove of prizes from Restrap, Exposure lights, Gorewear, and cycling nutrition company STYRKR.

Riders will have until January 3rd to submit their rides for their completion patches. This is invariably one of my favorite events of the year because it usually coincides with the exceptional riding weather in my now former home of Florida. Though I’m a bit farther north for the allotted window this year, I’ll still be making it out for both Restrap’s Winter Solstice Century and our very own Good Night 2024. Given there’s exactly one day of overlap between the two events, the particularly sadistic among us (me) might endeavor to combine the two… Bonus points, anyone?
