Big news for fans of Adam Sklar! Today, Sklar Bikes is opening pre-orders for the California-made Super Something Ti, a titanium version of their flagship gravel bike. Read on for more details and photos…
Featuring the same geometry as their flagship steel gravel bike, the Super Something, Sklar Bikes is releasing the Super Something Ti today! Available as a frame only or a frame and fork combo with the new Sklarbon Fiber™️ fork, Adam promises the same fun flexibility the Super Something provided but with a lighter, more playful material.
Made in small batches in California, the Super Something Ti is made of CWSR 3Al/2.5V titanium tubing, features 142 x 12mm rear and 100 x 12mm front spacing, a 27.2mm seat post, UDH compatibility, clearance for 29 x 2.3″ tires, 2x drivetrain compatibility, and three bottle mounts. Other important things to note are that the Super Something Ti accepts a flat mount brake (160 front and rear), a 68mm BSA BB, EC34mm/44mm Headset, and external cable routing (thank god).
With all the uncertainty in the bike industry these days, it’s great to see a smaller US-based builder like Adam continue to add to his offerings. The Super Something already has something of a cult following, so immortalizing it in Ti is bound to be a hit. With the high-quality titanium Adam and his production partner have specced, it’s sure to really be Something. Another cool detail is that these frames will be manufactured in the US—at a pretty approachable $2,850 USD, no less.
