After years of solely creating made-to-measure frames, William Bender of Bender Bikes has decided to offer stock geometry for three distinct models. Read on for details on the new chapter and what it means for buyers here…
Bender Bikes is now offering stock geometry! William Bender, a small builder out of Fort Collins, Colorado, has decided to offer three distinct models with stock geometry to better serve folks who aren’t looking for his typical one-on-one custom offerings. With a mountain, gravel, and master of none model on offer, riders of any shape or size can more easily find a handmade option to suit their needs.
Leading the charge on the stock geometry offerings is his mountain model. With clearance for 29 x 2.6″ tires, a 34t chainring, and UDH compatibility, it’s a beautifully made modern hardtail that’s bound to let you get nice and shreddy.

With a background in design, it’s evident just how much care William has poured into the aesthetic and manufacture of these bikes. While each and every bike that comes out of Bender Bike Co is handmade, it’s cool to see a smaller frame builder offer a more accessible price point that may also help streamline the process of creation for themselves. When I asked William about why he decided to offer stock options, he remarked that many customers preferred something that came out close to the aggregated numbers you see above. It felt like a solid mean for those who don’t need something hyper-specific. What’s also intriguing is that customers can use these as a jumping-off point but still get something custom for just $200 more.
Stock frames start at $2,800 USD and move up to $3,800 USD if you’re looking for a frameset, which includes a Fox Factory 34 fork and your choice of Chris King Inset 7 or White Industries headset. The fact that Bender Bikes now offers stock geometry is a great thing to see in a bike wayward bike economy and a carrot for those looking to support a small, talented frame builder.
