Terra Australis will be starting at Wilsons Prom in Victoria heading northbound on May 1 in 2025. Same route, same distance, just uphill. The plan is to get away early enough ahead of the winter season snow falls in the Vic Alpine Parks and Kosciuszko National Park. Surf the ESE trade winds up the NSW coast then inland to Longreach again utilising the dominant SE winter winds all the way through to Far North Queensland as the remnant wet season roads dry out and arriving at Cape York before the onset of the oppressive summer temps. Watch out for the crocodiles…
