- Set your bike/self up for a relaxed ride in the woods; bring extra layers like a down jacket and down pants for relaxing mid-ride
- Bring a thermos with a warm beverage
- Use insulated polar bottles to keep your water from freezing
- Bring a headlamp; Nightcore LED is recommended
- Natural fiber layers (feet): light weight wool socks, heavy weight wool socks, Stomplox shoes
- Use fenders to keep dry
